Any others paid a deposit for one of the Golden Sands units?

Well I've not visited this forum for over a year but figured this post was worth a shot!
Anyone who has money invested in the Golden Sands part of Alkudia Smir will have received the same letter I did back in December, basically stating that without further investment of another £10k deposits may be lost and the building work may not continue.
I have been in touch with a solicitor who specialises in new build developments and seems to think I have a good case at getting some if not all of the initial deposit back. In order to progress with this, as it's a no win no fee basis he needs others in the same boat as myself to come forward. If anyone, like me is worried about losing the initial deposit and would be interested in starting legal proceedings to get this back please get in touch! So far the solicitor I am dealing with has myself and one other client on his books - we need more before he'll take the case on a no win no fee. Please respond!
Thanks
Joanna

Hi,

I also invested in Golden Sands (AP2), but did not received this letter.
Did you received this letter recently ?

Who sent the letter ?

Did you respected the signed contract ?

Regards

Hello
I received the letter in December. I have sent you a PM with my email address. If you let me have your email address I'd be happy to send a copy of this to you.
The letter came from Azur Developments oon behalf of AZRD Marrakech.
Thanks
Joanna

Hi ,

I purchased directly from GFM, thus this request for funds doesnt apply to me.

This threat to stop the works seems disturbing.
In my opinion it would be interesting to see what the situation is with Excelia (ex GFM) , the master developer.

EVERYTHING IS BEGUN BUT NOT FINISHED COMPLETELY
FOR THE DELIVERY I CANNOT EXPRESS MY OPINION TO DISAPPOINT YOU.
THE RESPONS HAS TO BE FROM THE BUILDER HE IS RESPONSIBLE AND CAPABLE OF GIVING A DELIVRY DATE.

I AM SORRY

MYRIAM

One of the ways to save the development would be to get rid of the whole management. They are clearly the biggest problems for the development.
