The story of macca sounds stressing and describes what we can see on youtube (search Fayadan Mdiq 2010).
The uploaded pictures are taken in the last week of february and before the latest flooding of 6 march.

The first picture is behind the front blocs of AP4. The soil is sliding because of heavy rainfalls and has to be reinforced before building the remaining 5 blocs of AP4. This will certainly impact the delivery date of AP4. They kept repeating it will be June 2010 but after some discussion they admit that june is not realistic and it will be december or january 2011.

For AP5 june still seems to be realistic considering the building pace of AP1 of last year. In the pictures you can see that they started in the interior of a bloc.

For AP7 not all blocs arised from the ground so june seems impossible to me and i think decemebr or january is more realistic like AP4.

But after the heavy rainfall there is a lot of damage to repair. I questioned the cause for the damage at AP1 they answered it was the pressure to deliver and the building speed wich caused lack of quality. This is taken into consideration for the buildings in progress they said.
The damage in AP1 will be repaired as soon as the rainfall stops so this will be towards spring.

About the Hotel.

Hotel is still not sold. About the rumors of Barcelo into alcudia smir i can say the rumours were right but Barcelo has chosen for the Marina Smir Sofitel Complex. the owner of the complex ended the contract with Accor hotels which was managing sofitel. Now Barcelo is taking over and will place their premium brand hotel (you can search on Google News Tags: Barcelo Marina Smir)

The employees at the alcudia office on site said that there are interested parties wich came to visit the site but they did not name anything specific

I have no pictures of AP-2. But it is more progressed than the other AP's.
Refering to the past years the most progres is made during spring,
so i believe there is a good chance that building will be finished this summer.
But finish the buildings, getting the habitacion license and start handling over the apartments could take up to december, considering the ramadan period during august and september.

I'm in AP-4. They kept repeating june but after discussion they admitted that it would be december or januari 2011.
Last summer june seemed realistic.

Considering the difficult whether conditions this year i understand the delays this time. I prefer they don't rush into building fast at cost of "quality". for so far you can speak of quality i dont understand that they even didn't think about downpipes (see last picture of frenchy)

No they didn't start yet.
But before reaching to alcudia smir
there is a military compound with barracks.
where the promenade at the beach begins at that level of the road
there is a new pedestrian bridge builded last year.
And also in the town Mdiq they builded a bridge crossing the road.
Both with the same architecture
There is a chance the one or two at alcudia will have the same look.
to keep the tamuda bay in the same style.[/list]
