What's happening at Alcudia Smir?

AP1 visit

Postby 1frenchy » Wed Feb 24, 2010 12:50 pm

I am going the end of the week on site to check the condition of my apartment.
If somebody from AP1 interested
I can communicate volunteers without charge status of their property.

we have same damages on different block.
Fadesa is trying to do his best to remedy the problem but the rain did not let them work.

Hi you can check on Youtube, search on Fayadan 2010 Mdiq, or Fayadan 2010 Fnideq. Alcudia is in between these towns on a hill so the problem is not as bad, but refering to the damage posted by Frenchy more rain can only be bad for the affected appartments wich where not waterproof.
Heavy rainfall is very common the past few years.
Problem is that people did not respect natural rivers and riverbanks in almost every moroccan town. Because the past 20 to 30 years were dry years many of them never imagined they are building on river banks.

Thanks for keeping us informed.

I have watched the clips, I am shocked at the level of flooding.

My apartment is on the ground floor, ap1, there must be damage to it.
It is reassuring to know that the development is on a hill, but ap1 is at the bottom of the development and will have high levels of water damage.

Haven't they made the apartments waterproof?

There have been heavy rains in the North for a few years, surely due to this there would be some sort of drainage on the development?

It looks like October through to May are going to be washed out!
