Visited site in July and though I did manage to get a small amount of video footage, Ive had problems with camera since return so am not in position to upload it just now. Best I can do at the moment is a verbal overview. Sorry, but I'll try sort the camera problem out shortly.

Viewed the show apartments and was pleased with them. Finish etc was of v good quality. AP1 is approx 80% complete. The photo posted above from April is pretty representative. We were able to stand inside apartments and many of the front line ones were close to finished. wiring and plastering was complete in some units. Workers were in process of adding stairs to solarium while we visited. We presumed they were to be complete by October, though we doubted this was realistic timeframe. Have since heard it will be March 2009 for AP1 and some villas.

Big issue on the day was the obvious lack of activity on site. It's a very big site and we expected to see a large number of workers. It's accurate to say we probably counted 20 (TWENTY)...though i'm sure there were some others indoors! Some villa's also progressing well and there is obvious progress with hotels etc at front of site. As you move further back it gets a little more worrying. Internal roads are in and sites have been levelled. We have bought in AP5...and not a single brick has been laid...nor a foundation put in. When we asked, we were told this section would be 2010....but nothing more specific.
While this might be possible, it would require builders on site.
Perhaps the lack of builders is related to the other issue we discovered on our return from site....namely the "financial issues" at Fadesa.

All in all we were impressed with the area... and provided the developers can get it constructed ON TIME and TO ACCEPTABLE STANDARD it will be a fantastic development. WE live in hope

Thanks for the update. It sounds promising! I'm in AP1 so hopefully it'll be complete by Summer next year.

I received some photos from Fedesa yesterday - will post soon.

Also received a communication from Groupe Fadesa Maroc as well:

"Following the various articles published in the press lately about the financial situation of Martinsa-Fadesa (Spain), Groupe Fadesa Maroc S.A. would like to inform their clients that:

Groupe Fadesa Maroc S.A. is an independent entity, under Moroccan law, with its own management and board of directors.

Mr Anas Sefrioui, chairman of Groupe Addoha, is also chairman of Groupe Fadesa Maroc S.A.

Groupe Fadesa Maroc S.A. carries out its commercial activities exclusively in Morocco.

Groupe Fadesa Maroc S.A. does not receive financial assistance from any other foreign institution.

All of the company's assets are in Morocco.

Groupe Fadesa Maroc S.A. will assure the continuity of its projects according to the plan set by its managerial group"

Hi,

I went on site on 9th July 2008 (before the bad news)
AP1 is almost completed.
AP2,V1,V2,aparthotel and Hotel are in progress.

About infrastructures ,the promenade (3 km) and beach are fully completed and are Beautiful, the motorway along AP9 is also finished and operational.
and has no negative impacte on the develpment.
The beach is fully equiped (WC,shower and free sunshade) ,the sea water
is crystal clear.

Great news. Maybe we'll be lucky and the news about Fadesa won't affect the development......
